With this map, we leave Mireford behind and venture eastward! At the edge of town, a sturdy log serves as a place to tether mounts, with water troughs and a pile of hay waiting nearby. If you listen closely in the early morning, you might hear a peculiar sound from that haystack—a frog that crows like a rooster, waking the locals at dawn. 🐸🌅

A winding path leads toward the looming forest, casting long, eerie shadows even in daylight. Just before reaching the treeline, a weathered signpost marks a northern fork—perhaps a way around the woods? High in the trees, strange wooden structures can be seen. Too exposed for a watchtower, too empty to be homes… what could they be?

To the north, the road skirts past the last house of Mireford, illuminated by a sparse row of lanterns guiding travelers into the night. The ground beneath our feet grows firmer, lush with grass and moss—a sign that the swamp is truly behind us.
