Ressources: A Little Cheat Sheet Never Hurt Nobody

A few weeks ago, it was that time again: we started a new adventure with characters that have been around for years but had been on pause for a while, set aside for another campaign with a different cast. We do that fairly often – we just have way too many ideas that all deserve their time to shine. #toomuchcreativity
All that variety is fun, of course, but it also has one major side effect: character background details tend to get lost in the void. It even happens to me regularly, and I like to think I know my characters pretty well. Fittingly, I was about to throw in a funny example here – something I recently forgot about one of my own characters – but I forgot what I forgot. Piked off, Clueless...
Right around that time, I came across a video by Dice auf Ice featuring an idea that lit a fire in me: a character cheat sheet! A small overview that covers the most important bits about your character – perfect for keeping track of things yourself or handing it to your DM so they have everything they need at a glance. Obviously, there was no way I could just ignore that… So yep, I jumped right into making my own version 😁
It’s not a spectacular design – it’s all about the basics, after all – but it absolutely gives your character the stage they deserve! There’s space for standard info like race, class, and alignment, a section for describing your character’s key relationships, and a spot to jot down their fundamental strengths, flaws, and fears. It wraps up with a little freestyle area, because... well, there’s always something extra worth adding, right? #right
So if you’re like me and have so many characters that things sometimes fall through the cracks, or if you're looking to charm your DM with a small but mighty gesture that makes life – and dming – a little easier (yep, the line gets blurry sometimes), this is your way to go!
