Personal Notes
I create hand-drawn maps for roleplaying worlds, fantasy novels, and adventures of all kinds grounded in believable geography, meaningful place names, and story-driven details that spark the imagination.
Each map is meant to feel like a real piece of a world that could have been and something someone might have held, once, in another life or another story.

Happy travelling!

Maps

Silberquell (Silverspring)
Third map in a row of three (Sternenfall, Falkenhain, Silberquell). Found a better way to draw all the trees here :)

Sternenfall (Starfall)
First map in a row of three (Sternenfall, Falkenhain, Silberquell). The crater was quite challenging. Trees were a bit rushed.

Orbis Caelo Supra Agro Nesseri
In our role-playing group we play various adventures in different settings in the D&D world. When we decided to design star signs, the idea quickly grew and ultimately resulted in a combined star map so that all settings share part of the same sky.

Greydale
A small, secluded settlement I created as a home town for one of my characters.

Rattlecreek
Once a peaceful town now a fortified settlement. Our characters prepare for fighting the final boss.

Screaming Cavern
Another project without specific cause. Just wanted to create a map with some scary notes on it.

More to come
...
It won't take long. Just have to upload all the stuff

Falkenhain (Falcon's Grove)
Second map in a row of three (Sternenfall, Falkenhain, Silberquell). Love that the colors tend towards monochrome.

The Hánorian Empire
The clients allowed me to design Varrikstor in the northeast completely myself <3

Ein friedliches Königreich vor langer Zeit
(A peaceful kingdom once upon a time)
This map shows a region brought to life in a client's storybook. The story revolves around an idyllic village, a missing princess, a dragon in the mountains and the mysterious pumpkin man Jack...

Dragon's Hearth
Plain of the Fallen Dragon. A spontaneous project without any specific cause.

Castrabor
Another commission. Love the undiscovered nature of the peninsula.

Arlea
My very first map ever <3
Game Boards & Battle Maps
The oldest drawings are below, the newest ones above
____
They're all gridded since they belong to one single greater project! Please don't let that stop you from
imagining them without a grid and instead with fields.

Poacher's Camp
I'm really proud of this one. The details, the textures, lighting, the new tree style... Everything was so smooth to draw.

Lake Spring
Finally my new style for trees!

Laboratory
Here I had a cooler and more deserted atmosphere in mind. So I went for the cooler tones.

Shadow Pit I
My favourite part is the glow of daylight at the end of the dark tunnel.

Enchanted Clearings I
My first battle map and also the starting point of my patreon project.

Enchanted Clearings III
This is my old style for trees. I will show the new one as soon as I have a suitable battle map ready.

Deepwood I
Going deeper into the woods with this battle map.

Deepwood III
It's getting darker and more glowy here.

Whispering Graveyard I
Still the old tree style. Improvement on the flowers.

Whispering Graveyard III
I'd have liked to add open graves...

Crypt I
These two belong to the graveyard.

Crystal Cave
It's actually a two-part map, but I've combined them for uploading here. I could have continued drawing those crystals forever.

Temple of Solaria
I'm able to add more details at last! Although still not enough for my taste. Time to practice, I think.

The Falling Star Tavern
Taverns are so much fun! This one is near a crater caused by a meteorite impact. Hence the tavern got its name.

Shadow Pit II
It was hard to draw all that stuff in the basement of this prison. Patience wasn't with me.

Enchanted Clearings II
Drawing stones is quite easy for me. They make up very good terrain in a battle.

Enchanted Clearings IV
I really like those small huts. Was fun to furnish them.

Deepwood II
The dark areas belong to a ravine. More funghi.

Deepwood IV
Deadwood.

Whispering Graveyard II
All parts of this project can be aligned to form a single large battle map

Whispering Graveyard IV
... but I'm still practicing when it comes to creating battle maps.

Crypt II
There is something in the deep. Love the spiderwebs.
Heraldry

Sarganýwarne
Crest of my highelven cleric. The kingfisher honors the ancestor whose valor earned the family its noble status. The text says: Peace on the sea, peace in the heart.

A water-related crest for my poor seasick cleric. Family's tough.

Noriff
The family symbol of a client's dwarven clan whose home lies in a ravine. They are skilled in forging magical weapons and armor and have been closely linked to magic for many generations.
The eye shimmers in silver (sadly not visible on the scanned version).

House Esamil
This crest belongs to a friend's character.
We decided to give our characters a connected backstory, so this crest and the next one share some elements :)

Family
A family coat of arms designed based on a real template and the customer's wishes.

Love this kind of work :)

Conquerer
I'm very proud of this one. Evil in its most lawful form: oppression.
Take a look at her shield: those are all the lands she has conquered.

Hallard
One of my first crests <3 I drew it for another friend's dark paladin. Our characters have such a funny, yet very serious relationship with each other.
Evil group. You don't want to mess with them. Really.

Rudeness
Client's project part I

It's always fun to connect the rules of the real world heraldry with fantasy elements...

Royalty
Client's project part III

See all the helmets, shields, mantles and helm's crests?

Dragon's Foe
No special cause behind this one.
I just wanted to use the shield division to depict the relationship between the dragon and the knight.

Historical
A family crest designed based on existing information about the family and the customer's wishes.

I fondly remember the nice customer

Envoy
Crest of my paladin. Sworn an oath. They will always share a bond.

See the previous one.

Still Standing
The light shines brightest in the darkest night. Our characters stand strong against the shadow.

Little Lur
Crest of my lovely halfling druid. He doesn't really have one, but if he did, it would look like this.
Elements of a wolverine, goat and dove since those are his animal companions.

Hatching
No special cause for this one. Just wanted to try out hatching.

Vertical strokes = red, dots = gold, white = silver

Stealth
Client's project part II

... and see how much I can bend them before breaking them.

The Creation of Era
Learn more about Era
(I will add this link as soon as possible)

Era - Northern Continent
I love drawing stuff like this! Gimme more!

Highforge - Palace District
Many important buildings here. Tried to keep an open atmosphere for the rich and beautiful.

Torbald's Pit
I really like coloring maps in shades of blue and brown. It gives them a calm, yet somehow unsettling, mood.

Flight's End
A dark place. Gang wars. Unsafe streets. The perfect place for anyone who wants to be forgotten by the world.

More to come

Highforge's Coat of Arms
The only coat of arms so far I colored digitally. Like the result.

Highforge - Trade District
Crowded. Clouded. Loud...ed xD

Suncliff
Home of the Golden Sun. I remember well.

Heron's Caw
I really wanted to draw a swamp town with all the haze, the torches, and the smell of decaying life.
